what is a life policy

Remember the old ads that aired non stop between all the good shows, with the sad instrumental music telling you, you only really love your family if you have an insurance plan for your existence or someone going through a sad or crazy event that ends with your family will be covered in the event of your death.

This is a life policy.

That you take out when you are young and employed and it's usually the last thing you are worried about and keep paying it all through life... until you die. Then a ton of money is paid out to your loved ones and they all live happily ever after...
